7 Things to Look Forward to in Need for Speed Payback
So finally EA announced their next car game – The Need for Speed Payback( which is more like a game version of the Fast and Furious) coming this November and it has a ton of new features you can ever think of, a looks-so-good storyline in single player mode, cars, tons of customisation and what not. So let’s take a look at the game and what we are looking forward to in NFS: Payback.
Before proceeding further, let’s have a look at the action packed trailer of Need For Speed: Payback.
If you saw the gameplay then the very first task to do is a heist(sounds like Fast and Furious right?) Basically you have to chase down a truck loaded with a high end supercar which later turns out to be a Koenigsegg Regera! You start the job in a Mustang (which looks so slick) and take down some BMW SUV’s by “The House” while reaching for the truck. The whole scenario has been set up in a desert landscape. The game promises more heists missions that takes this game to a completely different level.
Need for speed is all about cars. The 2015 version disappointed me because it missed a lot of Supercars and had more classic ones. But this game changes it all. This time you get a selection of five different classes of cars – race, drift, off-road, drag and runner. Select your car for the perfect job and make those tweaks under the hood to rule the game. The trailer already teased quite a few cars from all the five classes and with cars like Koenigsegg Regera, this could be the best one.
This time it’s different. Instead of being in control of a single character, you control three different characters namely Tyler ( the racer ), Jess ( the wheelman ) and mac ( the showman ). The story exploits the life of Tyler Morgan who is double crossed and forced into exile. He must bring back his crew for a Payback against the “The House” who control the city’s cops and crimes. For greater challenges, you can go for “Side Bets” that raise your stakes to higher levels.
I hope this storyline is as promising as it looks because Need for Speed (2015) storyline was something I didn’t understand quite well. EA has also confirmed that NFS Payback will include Autolog, the stat tracking and challenge system. Autolog in Payback will push your friends’ best scores from the entire campaign and world activities.
Need for Speed is nothing without the customisations. This time EA has confirmed that this game has the most options available for customisations. Every time they bring out something new to the customisation list. New body parts, kits, better visual upgrades, stances and a lot more to explore. You should be able to make the suitable tweaks into your car to finish the job and events you participate in with ease.
One of the new features I liked is the tyre smoke colour, which I use in my customised vehicles in GTA V. But what takes the game to a completely different level are the custom builds. You can choose any of the classes for your car – race build, drag build, drift build, off-road build and runner build. The transition of the series can be seen with such upgrades.
The map is set in a fictional arena named Fortune Valley which has been set up for all types of events. The playground consists of Silver rock city to drag your gas out, the Liberty desert for the off-road fun and to drift your way up to the Mount Providence. Well, you gotta be beware of crashing your car down the Silver Canyon. Show off your skills wherever your mood lies. This time they have included both – day and night time map scenarios unlike the previous games in the series.
For years, cop chase has been the life of the game. Cops become more smart with each game added to the series. The Rhino SUV’s are also back along with the overhead choppers into the arsenal. The arena is set, so push your ride to the extreme levels to evade the more intense pursuits and enjoy the party with different rides.
This game is the perfect masterpiece created by EA this time. You can watch the reveal trailer came out a few weeks ago and also the gameplay revealed at E3 2017 on the official website. I can’t wait to lay my hands on this game because this one looks promising. The stakes are high and this is gonna be the most action packed racing game ever. Let’s see what EA has got into the box.
The game is all set to release on November 10, 2017. Are you excited ?? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
