Call Of Duty: WW2 Zombies Mode Is Set To Be Revealed
Call of Duty WW2 is set to bring the franchise back to its roots in a big way, providing fans with a different style of gameplay from the most recent iterations of the series. E3 2017 saw a lot of new details revealed about Call of Duty WW2, including the new mode, Warzone. Call of Duty WW2 Zombies mode will be revealed at Comic-Con (The annual event is taking place between July 20th and 23rd in San Diego at the San Diego Convention Center) on July 20 after Sledgehammer Games announced the decision on Twitter.
The Tweet doesn’t give much away but does explain that Sledgehammer will be bringing their own twisted vision of the popular game mode, complete with a picture of what appears to be a zombie with a helmet. The main bosses from Sledgehammer Games had been teasing an upcoming announcement in the last few days, and now fans know they’ll only have to wait another 15 days before they get to see the Nazi zombie action. Call of Duty WW2 will feature a brand new Nazi Zombie’s mode which will feature a “unique take” on the popular Call of Duty staple.
Sledgehammer studio head Michael Condrey told fans on the Gamespot E3 stage: “Each of the modes has their own creative drive and priorities, and the campaign is really about delivering that authenticity and deeply personal story. Multiplayer is really social and competitive, and there are some liberties there. And the return of Nazi Zombies we can’t sit here and say there’s authenticity to that, and nor do fans really want that. This is a creative outlet. Now, it’s rooted where the franchise began. Zombies in Call of Duty started in Nazi Zombies [in Call of Duty: World at War], so that’s an honor for us. We get to put a Sledgehammer Games stamp on that, with our background with Dead Space, and so it’ll be an adrenaline-fueled take on it. It’ll be rooted in some research we found about some of the beliefs that Germans had.”
