Free Mass Effect Andromeda Trial Now Available On All Platforms
- BioWare made an announcement on Twitter that now everyone across PS4, Xbox One, and PC can try out the space-faring RPG for the low, low price of free right now. The 10-hour trial is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, this time PlayStation 4 players will also be able to join in, and even those who have already used up the ten hours from their EA and Origin Access trials can pick up where they left off in the new trial. In this ten hour period, players can access the single-player campaign’s first planet, Eos, as well as unrestricted access to the cooperative multiplayer mode.
Although Mass Effect: Andromeda was not in the best state when the game launched back in March, it has come a long way in rectifying the problem areas, with numerous updates that have improved animations, lip syncing and other issues over the last few months. BioWare recently added the Batarians and a new “Platinum” difficulty level to Mass Effect: Andromeda’s multiplayer Apex missions, but there’s still no word on single-player DLC. This could be a great approach to bring back fans of the series who may have been jaded by the initial negative reaction the game received.
The game development began in 2012, following the release of Mass Effect 3. Bioware officially announced the title during E3 2015. Mass Effect: Andromeda gives players the chance to be the Pathfinder, charting a course in a dangerous new galaxy in search of a new home. Meet and recruit all-new and interesting characters in an epic space saga, and pit your team against terrifying enemies and creatures singularly-focused on your destruction. Utilize verticality and boosted jumps to even the playing field, as well as destructible cover and brand-new weapons and Biotics to make combat more thrilling than ever. Utilize the most flexible progression system ever in the Mass Effect franchise to build the Pathfinder exactly how you want, focused on the abilities and skills that will make you virtually unstoppable.
