Highlights From The Biggest Gaming Event Of The Year: E3 2017
E3 2017 showed us a glimpse of gaming’s future where Virtual Reality gaming dominated the event, Game developer and publisher Ubisoft announced a bunch of new games, Sony showcased arsenal of new games to take on Xbox, Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Origins, Samsung introduced first HDR QLED gaming monitors ahead of E3 2017, Xbox One X price, specifications and features revealed at E3 2017 and many more. Every year gaming fans wait for this event eagerly to know what is on the list for them to tick it off their bucket list.
Bethesda Softworks stole the spotlight on the first day of E3 2017, as the publisher announced sequels to its previous gaming titles and VR versions of others. One of the main highlights of the company’s conference was the announcement of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. The title will be arriving on October 27 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC and the game will also include weapons such as Laserkraftwerk and Dieselkraftwerk. Bethesda also talked about the sequel to its 2014 survival horror game, the Evil Within 2. Arriving on October 13 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC gamers, the title lets the user play as Sebastian Castellanos and roam around more freely than previous title versions.
Furthermore, the publisher announced the arrival of Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. The game will release on September 15 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Fallout 4 VR, is the virtual-reality version of the game and will arrive in October. Doom VR, also the VR version of the popular gaming title, will be arriving on PlayStation VR and Vive platform later this year.
Ubisoft announced a bunch of new games, along with updates to existing ones. The firm announced titles including Crew 2, Skull & Bones, Boomer and more. The other main highlight of the conference was Assassin’s Creed Origins, the gameplay of which was seen during Xbox One X’s demo. The title is set in ancient Egypt and will be releasing for PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 27. Far Cry 5 is another title that Ubisoft stressed upon more than others at its E3 conference. The title will be hitting Xbox One, PS4, and PC on February 27 next year. Ubisoft announced the successor of its multiplayer racing game The Crew as well. The game will be reaching Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox One X and PS4 Pro early next year. Skull & Bones is another title introduced by Ubisoft at E3 2017. The title will be available later next year for the PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC.
Furthermore, Ubisoft launched Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle title, developed for the Nintendo Switch portable gaming console. The title will include Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and Rabbid Yoshi characters. It will be available on August 29.
